A Porsche source has confirmed that Porsche are working on a smaller Panamera – the ‘Pajun’ – and a mid-engined Porsche 960. With two new models already officially confirmed as on the way – the Porsche Macan (a smaller Cayenne) and the Porsche 918 – Porsche’s minds are now firmly focused on the next two new models from Stuttgart – the eighth and ninth models in the range.
Tesla has announced prices and model availability for Europe of the Model S – it starts at €72,600 – but no UK prices until late 2013. The Tesla Model S is garnering some impressive reviews now it’s out in the wild in the US, but it’s still some way from landing in Europe. But at least Tesla has come up with price and spec details for Europe, even though RHD models for the UK still don’t have a number.
Volkswagen XL1 Super Efficiency Vehicle
The Volkswagen XL1 Super Efficient Vehicle (SEV) is being rolled out at the Qatar Motor Show. It’s a two-seater diesel-electric hybrid and the latest in a series of concepts dating back to 2002. But it won’t be in a showroom near you anytime soon.
